91Ô¼ÅÚ

A Tradition
of Giving

We are fortunate at 91Ô¼ÅÚ to have a community with a strong tradition of generously giving back to the School.ÌýParents and friends of the School proudly support the enrichment of our students’ lives in many ways, through regular donations and by giving one of the most special gifts of all – their time.Ìý

Philanthropic History

91Ô¼ÅÚ, like most independent schools, has its own Foundation to support the School’s development plan. The School has a long history and tradition of philanthropy and the significant contributions from parents, alumni and staff have played a vital role in its ongoing development. 91Ô¼ÅÚ receives one of the lowest Government grants of any school in NSW and school fees alone cannot provide the capital required for major developments.Ìý

Previous appeals include lots of important projects. For example, the Peter Cornish Building on the Junior Campus (2002), The Roseby Science Building/Liggins Atrium (2007), the Fitness Centre (2009) and the John Roberts Centre (2018) on the Senior Campus; as well as High Country Campus in Jindabyne (1996); and the overhead pedestrian bridge across Military Road (1998).

91Ô¼ÅÚ has also a long history of providing support to those in need. The 91Ô¼ÅÚ Foundation Scholarships provide opportunities to those talented students who could not come to 91Ô¼ÅÚ.

Foundation Objectives

Our motto “Let your light shine’ is an attitude we carry in all our endeavours. To ensure that we continue to help our students reach their personal best and equip them to stay abreast of our rapidly changing world, 91Ô¼ÅÚ must continually invest in its infrastructure, facilities, curricular and co-curricular activities on a regular basis.

At this stage, the Foundation activities are focused on supporting 3 funds:

Building Fund

A new residential Experiential Learning Program for Year 9 students will be launched in 2025. Your support will help prepare this facility for the introduction of this program and the potential future expansion of our Winter School.

Scholarship Fund

An endowment fund for a means-tested Scholarship was launched in 2010 by Dr Lennox with the vision of providing opportunities for exceptionally talented students who will make a strong contribution to both 91Ô¼ÅÚ and our society, as well as enhancing the diversity of our student body.

Library Fund

Libraries are the heart of learning for every school. Information that supports the curriculum – and inspires students – ranges from visual aids and multimedia content to electronic databases, websites and good old- fashioned print publications. All donations from parents, friends and alumni are welcome as they will add considerably to the Library collection.

For more information on any of the Foundation Appeals, please contact the Director of Development, Dana Casimaty.

Regular Giving

You can make your gift to the 91Ô¼ÅÚ Foundation in a number of ways. With your support and that of others the School will be able to continue to grow, thereby continuing to lead the way in education, innovation and infrastructure.

You can consider the following options when making a donation. A one off gift, a regular gift, a gift when paying your school fees (invoice statements), leaving a Bequest or offering Corporate Sponsorship.

You can set up a Regular Giving program by nominating the amount you would like to contribute each month to the School’s development program. Contributions to all three Funds are eligible for an Australian Tax Office deduction and are fully tax deductible. Tax receipts are issued at the beginning of July every year.

This year, our fundraising efforts are focusing on means-tested scholarships.

Gifts in Wills

For many graduates, attending 91Ô¼ÅÚ has allowed our students to enhance their educational experiences with vast opportunities, including forging deep, enduring friendships. Understandably, our Redlanders may have a strong feeling of patronage towards their School and would like to foster their community for generations to come. This is how a planned gift can be of such value to both the School and the future students. Ìý

If you are thinking of leaving a gift in your will to the School, please contact the 91Ô¼ÅÚ Foundation Office to discuss the options available. Such gifts may include capital, property and gifts in kind. Contact us to design a plan, tailored to your situation and the difference you, as a Redlander can make.

Shaping young lives for well into the future is arguably the greatest gift one could make. You can help a young person secure their future education.

Corporate Sponsorship

91Ô¼ÅÚ is very appreciative of the generous support it receives from the corporate community. There are lots of areas in which we engage with corporate sponsors eg.Ìýour 91Ô¼ÅÚ Spring Fair and Gala Ball have been supported by a number of sponsors across various areas. Ìý

Konica Minolta has supported the 91Ô¼ÅÚ Konica Minolta Art Prize for many years, initially sponsoring the Emerging Artist and, since 2013, sponsoring the main prize valued at $25,000. If your company would like to consider 91Ô¼ÅÚ as one of its Corporate Social Responsibility recipients, please contact Dana Casimaty, Director of Development.

Learning Hub

The New Learning Hub wasÌýopened to our Secondary School students for their first classes on Monday 25 May 2020. This four level building provides learning and teaching spaces for Maths, English, Social Sciences, Innovative Design and Visual Arts. In addition, there is an educational space for sustainability subjects on the roof-top garden.

A Donor Recognition Wall with family plaques has created a permanent feature in this development. We greatly appreciate the support of all our donors and supporters.

If you wish to secure afamily recognition plaque (available in three sizes $10,000, $5,000 or $1,000), please contact our Director of Development, Ms Dana Casimaty. Every gift to the 91Ô¼ÅÚ Building Fund of $2 or more is tax deductible within Australia.
